During this time, Mr. Traetta also produced and televised the Mr. Olympia for two years on NBC, one-hour specials beginning in 1987. In 1988, High Bar Productions created and produced the Lee Haney Championship Workout for ESPN for two years with terrific rating.  Lee was the Mr. Olympia Champion and respected in the world of body building. John Traetta represented Mary Lou Retton, the 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist, from 1984-1988 and developed sponsorships, corporate endorsements and licensing agreements in excess of $10 million dollars.  These included agreements with Wheaties, McDonalds, Vidal Sassoon, NBC Sports, Energizer Batteries and many other top corporations throughout the world.

In 1985 High Bar Productions produced, Fun Fit, a series of two-minute fitness vignettes, starring Mary Lou Retton.  Fun Fit was sponsored by Wheaties and aired during ABC’s Saturday morning cartoon block to target kids.  A video of these vignettes were sold in retail and won a Gold Video Award.
